Role Summary: Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, the IT Systems Administrator is a key member of the Information Technology team. The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our network, as well as planning and implementing new projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, system administration, and security.

Exciting work you will do:

The essential duties and responsibilities of the IT Systems Administrator will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot network issues, including network connectivity issues, network security issues, and network performance issues
  • Administer, oversee, and audit user access controls and permissions
  • Implement security measures to protect the network
  • Monitor network performance, including bandwidth usage, latency, and CPU utilization
  • Plan and implement network upgrades
  • Provide technical support to system users
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on company computers as needed
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and suggest improvements to network and infrastructure
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • Work Experience: 2 years network and system administration experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office administrative product suite, Active Directory, Windows Server, and various LAN/WAN technologies; strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols; experience with security tools and techniques
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment
