Are you a passionate and skilled Network Engineer looking to make a significant impact? CACI's Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is thrilled to announce an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in support of an innovative Air Force Modernization program.
Need someone to work onsite at Northern VA or High Point, NC and 50% travel involved.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, contributing to the modernization of unclassified and classified base area networks. Your expertise will drive site surveys, design, and installation activities across wired, wireless, broadband, and ISP/OSP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Design & Engineering: Collaborate on the creation of robust network architectures, topology diagrams, and data flow artifacts for wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions. Your focus will be on ensuring high availability and peak performance.
  • Project Leadership & Strategy: Lead site surveys and work closely with our Engineering team to design state-of-the-art network architectures.
  • Cybersecurity Compliance: Design, implement, and document secure network architectures in compliance with DAF and DoD RMF standards. You'll work with STIG checklists, port/protocol/service documentation, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Implementation & Support: Support the deployment of advanced network management tools (SNMP, SYSLOG, orchestration) and coordinate with local Communication Squadrons.
  • Operational Transition & Maintenance: Perform, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues. Provide expert Tier 3 support to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and operational cleanliness, restoring sites to original or better condition.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Must currently hold U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and 7+ years of related work experience.
  • High School diploma or associate degree with 10+ years performing as a Manager in DoD supporting large, complex networks.
  • Direct experience managing Air Force Base Area Networks.
  • DoD 8140 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC); CCNP or CCDP or equivalent.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing telecommunications and/or data center projects.
