Senior Network Engineer (Hybrid)

Are you a hands-on Network Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges without relying on an MSP? A leading national food manufacturing company is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to own, secure, and scale our high-availability enterprise and plant network infrastructure.

This is a purely technical, hands-on operational role where you ll lead major infrastructure modernizations, post-acquisition network integrations, and ensure seamless connectivity across corporate and production (OT) environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-On Operations & Escalations: Serve as the lead technical escalation point for routing, switching, firewall, and wireless incidents to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Integrations & Modernizations: Perform heavy-lifting execution for network absorption, SD-WAN rollouts, enterprise wireless migrations, and next-gen firewall upgrades across key site locations.

  • Network Security & Segmentation: Maintain Zero Trust architectures, secure access control (ISE/802.1X), and IT/OT Purdue-model segmentation.

  • Lifecycle Support: Shift focus post-transformation toward peak operational uptime, capacity planning, and comprehensive documentation/runbooks.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering & deep troubleshooting experience.

  • Expertise in Core Networking: Advanced OSPF, BGP, Layer 2/3, VLANs, and High Availability.

  • Proven Capabilities: Strong hands-on experience with routers, switching, wireless, and firewalls, and SD-WAN/SASE solutions. (Highly prefer Cisco, Ruckus, and Palo Alto)

  • Security & Access Control: Experience with ISE, RADITACACS+, and segmented manufacturing/OT networks.

  • Flexibility: Ability to travel up to 20% initially for site deployments (dropping to 5 10%).
