Overview

Lightpath is searching for a candidate that is bright, highly organized, detail-oriented and hungry to learn about our business and the legal department's operations.The Legal Operations Associate is responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of the Company's sales and vendor contracts. The Legal Operations Associate will collaborate with internal stakeholders including sales, procurement, finance, and operations teams, as well as external vendors and clients, to facilitate the Company's commercial transactions process and management of legal cases. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good communication and ability to learn on the fly in a fast-paced and lean legal department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This role willbe responsible forensuring full contracts management, reporting, and contracts data integrity within Salesforce, including but not limited to creating or revising account hierarchies, creating and updating contract records, creating and exporting reporting, as necessary, to review contract records, ensure contracts are properly abstracted, linked to correct customer account, and categorized correctly..
  • Maintain accurate records of all contract documents and correspondence, including but not limited to ensuring contract documents and correspondence are linked to accurate customer account, correctly categorizing by type, abstracting contract provisions as per current Company standards.
  • Responsible for legal case management including categorizing the request, ensuring request is clear and complete, confirming necessary approvals, tracking, assignment to correct legal team member, updating case status as applicable, routing any contract documents through Docusign, uploading fully executed contract documents and any required follow ups. Works with the various groups to ensure complete understanding of the request, correctly prioritizing the request and managing through completion.

Qualifications:

  • Abachelor's degree in business, finance, legal studies or related field.
  • 1-3 or more years of experience in contract management preferable but not required.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently; possess good logical and analytical skills.
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communications skills; ability to respond to internal client inquiries and manage legal case intake process, effectively and timely communicate problems and propose solutions.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, adjust priorities, and find ways tooperateefficiently in a challenging, dynamic environment.
  • Manage compliance with certain contractual obligations of the Company.
  • Ability to understand standardized contract forms with input from various departments,i.e.,Product, Legal, Sales etc.
  • Serve as the primary contact between all internal stakeholders and the Legal Department with regard to questions regarding customer and vendor accounts and contracts and system ensuring prompt resolution of contracts issues.
  • Complete time-sensitive customer compliance documents,questionnaires,and registrationspursuant tobusiness practices, contractual obligations,statutesand regulations.
  • Establish standards and procedures for contract reporting and documentation.

Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with Colorado law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
