This role will lead to all aspects of commercial visual production-from concept and lighting setup to post-production delivery-ensuring that assets are optimized for performance, consistency, and speed. You will partner cross-functionally (and with global stakeholders when applicable) to deliver campaign-ready imagery and video, and you'll be expected to thoughtfully incorporate AI assisted - tools to enhance workflows (e.g., retouching, background cleanup, variation creation, metadata/tagging) while maintaining quality and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Photography & Videography

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality product, lifestyle product, lifestyle, and promotional photos and videos that support retail needs (weekly promotions, seasonal events, new arrivals, and clearance   messaging).
  • Produce   content optimized for web, social media, and advertising platforms.
  • Oversee consistency in visual style, lighting, and color across all product  categories.

 Studio Management

  • Manage MOR's photography studio, equipment, lighting systems, and inventory.
  • Schedule and coordinate product shoots with merchandising and e-commerce   teams.
  • Maintain workflow efficiency-shoot planning, file organization, and digital asset   management.
  • Operate   with flexibility in a retail environment-able to pivot quickly as priorities shift (e.g., promotional changes, merchandising updates, or urgent creative requests) while keeping projects on track.
  • Provide day-to-day production leadership by coordinating and directing production support team members (including cross-functional partners and dotted-line resources) to keep shoots and deliverables on schedule.

Video Production

  • Film and edit short-form and long-form video content for marketing and social channels.
  • Integrate music, motion graphics, and text overlays for engaging storytelling.
  • Collaborate   with the marketing team to develop creative storyboards and campaign visuals.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with creative, merchandising, and marketing teams to plan seasonal campaigns.
  • Provide  art direction and mentor freelance photographers or production assistants  as needed.
  • Ensure the studio supports cross-departmental needs efficiently and professionally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and a global creative/marketing network to align brand standards, shot lists, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Champion  responsible use of AI-assisted creative tools to improve speed and quality, document best practices, and help the team adopt new workflows (while respecting licensing, usage rights, and brand guidelines).

Requirements

 Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of professional photography and videography experience (furniture, lifestyle, or retail preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Strong understanding of studio lighting techniques, composition, and post-production workflow.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple shoots, deadlines, and creative priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfort working with distributed stakeholders, including coordinating reviews/approvals across time zones.
  • Experience using or openness to adopting AI-enabled creative and productivity tools to streamline retouching, editing, versioning, and asset organization (with strong judgment around quality and brand integrity).
  • A portfolio demonstrating both photography and video work is required.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience managing or setting up an in-house studio environment.
  • Familiarity with furniture, interior design, or product styling.
  • Knowledge of current digital content trends across e-commerce and social media.
  • Strong creative judgment and attention to detail.
  • Interest in emerging content technologies (e.g., AI-assisted retouching, generative  tools, workflow automation) and the ability to apply them responsibly in a  commercial environment.
