Job Description

Compare actual to standard costs; perform analysis on variances; update bill of materials (BOMs)

Prepare/review cost estimates of new or proposed changes (engineering change notices) to products to establish or validate selling prices

o Partner with program managers, engineering, procurement & plants to develop BOMs

Design and implement procedures for establishing product cost and controls

Prepare project-based cost, profitability and inventory analyses for plant and senior management

Responsible for standard cost management and review including annual standard cost roll, material costing, freight capitalization, intercompany costing and facility labor/overhead rate reviews

Develop and implement reports, tools and processes to drive system cost data reliability

Develop and implement a standard cost estimation tool to drive improvement in quoting process


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred

Two (2) to seven (7) years' experience in accounting or finance; manufacturing experience preferred

Integrated operating system (i.e. XA, SAP, GP Dynamics) experience with its financial package

Strong understanding of cost accounting, bill of materials, and inventory

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

Ability to adjust to new, different, or changing requirements while conveying a sense of urgency

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
