Overview

The Inventory Accountant II will support Packaging, SKU'd Componentry and  Canada inventory accounting,  .  On a monthly basis, responsibilities include our closing,  account reconciliations and variance analysis.  Additional responsibilities of presenting value added global inventory summary reporting and monitor/troubleshoot inventory integrity reports and activities. On a quarterly basis, reconcile Diamond Division and Manufacturing obsolescence activity and be responsible for company annual physicals.

Responsibilities

  • Own financial responsibility for Canada's inventory, freight, duty, and FG payable reconciliations. Troubleshoot suspended sales related to margin errors.
  • Lead accounting and system support for Packaging and SKU'd componentry.  Responsibilities include planning, usage versus plan analysis and inventory reconciliation.
  • Update and explaining global inventory movement through value added commentary on a monthly basis.
  • Lead quarterly and annual events such as physical inventory, quarterly obsolescence and process improvements.  Responsibilities for inventory include:  preparation, documented cut-offs, reconciliation, reporting and commentary.
  • Reporting and troubleshooting of inventory integrity and world-wide inventory balances.  Ability to produce ad hoc reporting regarding inventory anomalies.

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • BS / BA - 4 year accounting degree
  • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word software skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • High Accuracy with data input/validation

Preferred:

  • JDEdwards system knowledge of costing, journal entries, and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of Business Objects and Hyperion report writing
  • MBA
