Job description

Our client, a well-established, industry-leading manufacturing company that is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to their growing team


This position can be based out of Atlanta, GAMarble Hill, GA, or Marble Falls, TX, with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) depending on your location.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the month-end cost accounting close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and present meaningful insights to plant leadership
  • Maintain and improve the standard cost environment while identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Partner closely with Plant Controllers, Operations, Engineering, and Plant Management to support financial performance
  • Monitor inventory valuation, including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and inventory reserves
  • Assist with annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and capital expenditure projects
  • Support physical inventory counts, internal controls, and audit preparation
  • Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and production data to ensure accurate product costing


What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4–7 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with:
  • Cost accounting

  • Work in Process (WIP)

  • Month-end close
  • Experience partnering directly with plant operations or manufacturing leadership
