Position Summary

The Retail Inventory Accountant Supervisor will oversee and manage the inventory accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and leading month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), proficiency in QuickBooks, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or a related field. This role will involve working independently and directly handling all related accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
    • Analyze inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
    • Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Month-End Close Management
    • Lead and manage the month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate closing of inventory accounts.
