Job description

Do you have hands-on experience with Boomi integration and API management? Do you enjoy designing and securing external-facing APIs? Are you excited by the opportunity to help modernize Hajoca’s integration platform? If so, then we’d like you to join our dedicated team as a Senior Integration Developer.

About the Role:

Hajoca’s integration solutions are a key part of our architecture, supporting internal system to system integrations as well as customer and vendor facing integrations. As a key member of the Hajoca Information Technology organization, the Senior Integration Developer reports to Hajoca’s Director of IT Engineering and is responsible for implementing integration solutions. This includes cloud-based solutions, data design, event and API driven systems, microservices, middleware platforms, and systems integration.

Boomi serves as Hajoca’s strategic integration platform and the connective tissue across the enterprise, linking core systems such as Epicor Eclipse ERP, SAP, CRM, and Azure-based applications with the data, events, and services that run the business. Increasingly, this role also designs and manages the external-facing APIs that connect Hajoca to its trading partners, customers, and vendors—making integration a differentiator in how quickly, securely, and reliably we do business.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement integration solutions including cloud-based solutions, data design, event and API driven systems, microservices, middleware platforms and system integration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for integration projects.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications and design documentation for integration solutions.
  • Identify approaches to all applicable non-functional requirements in detailed designs, including, but not limited to, performance, security, and observability.
  • Configure and customize Boomi connectors, components, and processes to meet specific integration requirements.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize Boomi integration processes that connect Hajoca’s core systems—including Epicor Eclipse ERP, SAP, CRM, and Azure-hosted applications—into a cohesive, well-governed integration fabric that ties the enterprise together.
  • Working with Hajoca’s Field Technology Group, design, publish, and manage external-facing APIs for trading partners, customers, and vendors using Boomi API Management, including gateway configuration, versioning, and full API lifecycle management.
  • Implement API security and governance—authentication (OAuth 2.0, API keys), authorization, rate limiting, and traffic monitoring—to safely and reliably expose internal capabilities to external partners.
  • Develop reusable Boomi components, canonical data models, and shared integration patterns that reduce duplication and accelerate delivery across the integration portfolio.
  • Migrate and consolidate legacy point-to-point and file-based integrations onto Boomi to improve standardization, security, maintainability, and observability across the integration estate.
  • Manage Boomi runtime environments (Atoms, Molecules, and cloud runtimes), deployments, and environment promotion across development, test, and production in line with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Support Hajoca’s evolving integration and automation roadmap, including opportunities to leverage Boomi’s API and emerging AI and agentic integration capabilities to modernize how systems and partners connect.
  • Design and develop microservices where appropriate using C#.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of integration solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other developers or team members as needed.
  • Work with awareness of existing Enterprise Architecture principles and other requirements and design standards and propose modifications to those when necessary.
  • Coordinate design reviews to win approval from Security, Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture representatives.
  • Provide constant improvement to software deliverables by identifying gaps and problem areas and suggesting solutions that conform to Enterprise principles.
  • Enforce adherence to clean coding practices and maintain expectations of junior developers in terms of coding style and approach.
  • Support production integration systems and quickly identify issues and causes of errors ensuring high system availability and optimal performance.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as requested.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 7 or more years of experience in software design and development
  • 5 or more years of experience in a cloud-based platform. (Azure preferred).
  • 5 or more years of experience in a DotNet platform, preferably V6 or later.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Boomi across both Integration and API Management; Boomi Developer or Professional certification preferred.

Our ideal candidate will also:

  • Have proven use of enterprise integration patterns.
  • Be experienced using an enterprise integration platform. (Boomi preferred).
  • Be proficient in using Boomi connectors, transformations and processes to build integration workflows.
  • Have experience designing, publishing, and securing external partner-facing APIs, including API gateways, versioning, and authentication standards such as OAuth 2.0 and API keys.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of common integration data formats and protocols, including XML, JSON, XSLT, SQL, CSV/flat files, and secure transport such as SFTP and HTTPS.
  • Have experience with B2B/EDI integration and trading-partner onboarding (preferred).
  • Have experience managing Boomi runtime topologies (Atom, Molecule, and cloud) and environment/deployment management.
  • Have demonstrated experience in DevOps practices.
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to understand business operations/processes and translate them into detailed technical designs.
