Job description

Hi

Role- Senior Integration Engineer (Loan IQ / .NET)

Location- Wilmington, DE – 5 days in office

Full-Time

JD

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer for the hands-on execution of approved architecture and design changes across the Loan IQ integrations platform, with a strong emphasis on payments and downstream system integrations.

This role is primarily responsible for translating the Loan IQ Integrations target-state design into production-ready implementations, modernizing existing integrations, and improving resiliency, observability, testability, and scalability of the platform. The engineer is expected to operate with minimal oversight. Apart from this core responsibility, this role is expected to manage BAU activities along with other developers on the team.

This is a delivery-critical role, intended for an experienced engineer who has successfully implemented complex integration architectures in regulated financial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the BAU activities such as monitoring, handling incidents and release activities
  • Execute the approved Loan IQ integrations architecture, including:
    • Separation of Client APIs and Integration API
    • Modularized design for reusable common services
    • Clear separation of client-specific logic, data access logic, and cross-cutting concerns
  • Translate architecture diagrams, design documents, and Confluence artifacts into concrete technical implementations.
  • Identify design gaps, implementation risks, and operational concerns early and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Replace or reduce direct SQL-based integrations by leveraging APIs.
  • Refactor existing integrations to address current-state limitations
  • Implement consistent logging, error handling, and monitoring to improve root-cause analysis and operational support.
  • Design integrations to be testable, supporting Unit testing, Integration testing, and End-to-end automated testing
  • Integrate solutions into CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (performance, reliability, security, auditability).
  • Review code and designs from other engineers, ensuring adherence to standards and architecture.
  • Collaborate and provide clear technical communication to stakeholders, including risks, dependencies, and progress.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years (in handling the responsibilities specified above) hands-on software engineering experience in enterprise environments. Overall 10+years is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record executing architecture-driven integration transformations, not just feature development.
  • Deep experience with integration patterns and technologies, including:
    • RESTful APIs
    • SOAP and XQuery-based APIs
    • File-based integrations (SFTP, batch processing)
  • Strong development experience with .NET (Core / modern .NET) and related enterprise frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of processing flows and transactional system behavior.
  • Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and error-handling frameworks in distributed systems.
  • Comfortable working independently and owning delivery end-to-end.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud or hybrid architectures (Strongly preferred).
  • Prior work on Loan IQ.
  • Experience modernizing Windows-scheduled or batch-based jobs into more observable and resilient architectures.
  • Experience building common integration services (email, file access, security, configuration).
  • Background in financial services or banking technology, including audit and regulatory awareness.

Scope & Expectations

  • Operates with minimal supervision, taking ownership of complex technical deliverables.
  • Expected to drive execution, not just contribute code.
  • Shortens time-to-market for new integrations by leveraging standardized patterns and reusable modules.
