  • Operate and optimize distributed storage infrastructure and protocols (NFS, CIFS, block storage)

  • Ensure proper monitoring, maintenance, and resilience of critical R&D environments

  • Determine root-cause for incidents, correlate recurring patterns to systemic issues, and drive resolution

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the team

  • Contribute to and review IaC, automation scripts, and configuration management code

What You'll Need:

  • Expertise with hypervisor platforms - QEMU/KVM strongly preferred for on-premises workloads; experience with VMware or Xen also applicable

  • Experience with OpenNebula or similar private cloud platforms

  • Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and infrastructure scripting

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Packer, and Ansible

  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Experience operating large-scale distributed storage infrastructure and protocols (NFS, CIFS)

  • Experience with enterprise operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOS) at scale

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI

  • Experience with git-based source code repositories (Bitbucket, GitLab)

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Dell PowerFlex, TrueNAS, or similar storage platforms

  • Experience with bare metal provisioning (Canonical MAAS, OpenStack Ironic, PXE)

  • Experience with Rancher or other on-premises Kubernetes platforms

  • Experience with Windows infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, SMB/CIFS, WDS/MDT

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a large-scale production infrastructure environment
