Job description

Job Summary: The Denver Broncos are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator that will play a crucial role in the delivery of core IT services for the training center and stadium. You will be key in maintaining and executing the technology strategy, ensuring our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure to support the unique demands of a professional sports organization.
You will need a unique blend of technical expertise and communication skills to assist in infrastructure projects, collaborate with your team, and maintain IT alignment with business objectives. Your judgment and experience will be vital in resolving complex technical challenges and maintaining a robust and optimized IT environment. This position reports to the Senior IT Director.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within the systems administration team and the overall IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, customer service, and professional growth
  • Oversee all aspects of systems administration, including server management, network storage, cloud infrastructure, Active Directory, Office 365, and Entra ID
  • Lead the strategy for IT systems administration, collaborating with other departments to align on strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Lead in collaboration on critical IT infrastructure projects, from evaluating new technologies to supporting in their implementation, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Assist and enforce governance, policies, and procedures related to IT systems administration to ensure security, efficiency, and compliance
  • Ensure and manage the availability and integrity of systems through robust backup and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and effectively manage relationships
  • Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues and escalating as necessary
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science/Business Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing conflicting priorities with other functional IT areas and departments
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to communicate and escalate issues appropriately
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Expertise in administering a hybrid Windows AD/Entra ID domain that supports both Windows and Mac workstations
  • Hands-on experience managing physical and virtual Windows and Linux server administration, including hyperconverged VMware environments
  • Experience in managing network storage systems such as NetApp
  • Proficiency in managing cloud technologies such as Entra ID and Microsoft, including Okta Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Experience with InTune, JAMF, and Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Proven experience with backup and disaster recovery planning, including the implementation and testing of DR/BC plans
  • Familiarity with LAN/WLAN network infrastructure and advanced data networking configurations
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism, with strong accountability

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000.
