Want to join our team as a Sr. Category Manager, Custom?

The Sr. Category Manager, Custom is responsible for creating a multi-year cross-categorical vision for Bauer's custom product offering, driving consensus across the organization on the MyBauer custom strategy, accountable for the commercialization and activation of the plan across our four global geographies, and delivering revenue, profit and share objectives. Reporting to VP, Category Management- Core Hockey this is a high-impact role with exposure to brand strategy, partnerships, licensing, and content. You'll help shape and scale a business within one of the most iconic brands in sport.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Manage custom P&L's and portfolio P&L's across all custom channels (MyBauer, Retail Team, Custom)
  • Collaborate with Category Managers & Digital lead to create a 3-year category strategy, innovation road map and Go To Market objectives.
  • Work with cross functional teams to execute the seasonal category plans, including Channel Marketing, R&D, Design, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Logistics & Supply and Demand.
  • Guide functional teams in applying product and player insights to validate concepts, unlock operational opportunities, and strengthen sports marketing effectiveness.
  • Support category go to market strategy and athlete-facing experiences for both new and existing products.
  • Attend and participate in bi-annual sales meetings and partner summits.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of category management experience, leading product assortments and execution across multiple product types.
  • Knowledge of the hockey industry and a core understanding of the consumer preferred.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with the proven ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to Leadership and cross-functional partners, formally and informally.
  • A catalyst who moves ideas forward and excels at influencing and communicating across a large organization.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and monitor goals and objectives for cross-functional teams.
  • Strong information seeking skills and detail oriented with ability to seek creative viable solutions to any situation.
  • Highly organized, diligent, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
