Position Summary

The Manager, Military and Veteran Benefits & FinancialWellness is responsible for providing enterprise-wide leadership, oversight,and strategic direction for military and veteran education benefitsadministration, military-affiliated student support services, and financialwellness initiatives across Medforth Global Education institutions.

This position serves as the organizational subject matterexpert for Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits, military tuitionassistance programs, military-affiliated student support, and student financialwellness. The Manager develops and implements standardized policies,procedures, training programs, and compliance controls to ensure consistentservice delivery and regulatory compliance across all Medforth schools.
Working collaboratively with campus Financial Aid,Enrollment, and Student Services teams, the Manager provides functionalleadership and support to designated campus personnel responsible for militaryand veteran student services. These campus representatives maintain adotted-line reporting relationship to this position for guidance, complianceoversight, professional development, and operational alignment.
The Manager plays a critical role in advancing studentsuccess by enhancing financial wellness, improving military student outcomes,and ensuring the effective administration of military and veteran educationalbenefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Military and Veteran Benefits Leadership

  • ย Serve as Medforth Global Education's primary subject matter expert for military and veteran education benefits programs.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide strategies supporting military-affiliated student enrollment, retention, persistence, and graduation.
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes for military and veteran benefits administration across all institutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices impacting military and veteran students.
  • Collaborate with institutional leadership to enhance services and outcomes for military-affiliated students.

ย Veterans Affairs Benefits Administration and Compliance

  • Oversee institutional compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Veterans Affairs regulations governing education benefits.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and operational controls related to VA benefits administration.
  • Provide guidance and support to campus School Certifying Officials and Financial Aid personnel.
  • Monitor certification accuracy, timeliness, and compliance metrics across institutions.
  • Lead institutional preparation for VA audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Coordinate corrective action plans and process improvements when necessary.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of regulations across all campuses.

ย Military Student Support Services

  • Promote best practices for supporting veteran, active-duty military, National Guard, Reserve, military spouse, and dependent student populations.
  • Serve as a resource to campus leadership and student-facing teams regarding military student needs and support strategies.
  • Foster relationships with military education offices, veteran organizations, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs teams to improve military student engagement and success.

ย Financial Wellness Strategy and Programming

  • Lead the development and implementation of Medforth's student financial wellness strategy.
  • Design and oversee financial literacy programs focused on budgeting, debt management, credit education, student loan repayment, financial planning, and financial responsibility.
  • Develop scalable resources, workshops, online content, and educational campaigns for students across all institutions.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on participation and outcome data.
  • Partner with institutional stakeholders to integrate financial wellness throughout the student lifecycle.

ย Training and Professional Development

  • Develop and deliver enterprise-wide training programs related to military and veteran benefits, compliance requirements, and financial wellness initiatives.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of campus personnel responsible for military and veteran services.
  • Facilitate regular training sessions, communities of practice, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid Operations & Training to ensure alignment with organizational training initiatives.

ย Data Analysis, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor key performance indicators related to military student success, benefits administration, compliance, and financial wellness initiatives.
  • Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and student outcomes.
  • Develop reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Support accreditation activities, institutional reporting requirements, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on operational efficiency, service quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Student Affairs, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid, military and veteran services, higher education administration, compliance, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Veterans Affairs education benefits programs, military tuition assistance programs, and federal financial aid regulations.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management abilities.
  • Ability to influence and lead through a matrixed, multi-campus organizational structure.

  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Experience serving as a School Certifying Official (SCO).
  • Multi-campus higher education experience.
  • Experience supporting military-affiliated student populations.
