Job Description

Astucemedia is currently seeking for a Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist to help us find and support the incredible people who drive our success. Reporting directly to our Director of Operations, you’ll take charge of the full recruitment cycle efforts and overseeing all activities related to HR. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing company while doing work you’ll love.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment (Primary Focus)

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to attract top talent in the creative tech and multimedia industry both within Canada and internationally.
  • Identify and build a strong talent pipeline for both immediate hiring needs and future roles.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, application screening, conducting interviews, and presenting offers.
  • Use proactive sourcing strategies, including headhunting and networking, to reach passive candidates.
  • Collaborate with managers to understand project-specific needs, immediate and future hiring needs and determine ideal candidate profiles.
  • Organize and represent the company at recruitment events, tradeshows, and/or industry networking opportunities while fostering partnerships with universities.
  • Update and manage the candidate database (ATS), ensuring accurate notes, statuses, and documentation.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to continuously improve processes and outcomes.

HR Management

  • Implement, coordinate, and oversee all activities related to human resources management at Astucemedia.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for human resources matters for employees and managers.
  • Administer and manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Implement and manage performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
  • Help with the preparation of employment contracts, letters, and other HR documentation as required.
  • Partner with the leadership team to ensure smooth communication and alignment on basic HR needs.
  • Oversee employee relations, addressing and resolving workplace issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide guidance and support for workforce hiring and planning initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage employees’ professional development and training initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to all level of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience, within the creative tech and multimedia tech, industries.
  • Experience in international recruitment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and social media sourcing strategies.
  • Proven ability to recruit specialized talent, including developers, engineers, data visualization experts, and creative professionals with technical expertise.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Quebec employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Autonomous, results-oriented and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills proficiency in English and French is required.
