Senior Activity Supervisor

MCCH Fitness Center, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point

Job Description

The Senior Activity Supervisor acts as an office resource and directs indoor and outdoor intramural activities, including tournaments and leagues for Intramural. In addition to the typical Activity Supervisor duties, they assist with the evaluation of all Intramural Activities Supervisors, set up block and special trainings, and perform other duties as needed.

This position reports to the Intramurals Supervisors Student Manager and the Recreation Programs Manager.

The University Centers Student Employment Program Wage Classification Scale classifies this position as Division I, Range II.

Required Qualifications

The Senior Activities Supervisor must have completed at least one full year of service to the Intramural program. They must display superior knowledge of the responsibilities of being an Intramural Activities Supervisor.

Applicants must be available to work 5-15 hours per week during the semester with a minimum of 2 scheduled office hours per week and must attend staff meetings and events as necessary. This may include additional evening and weekend hours on an "as needed" basis.

Students applying for this position must pass a Criminal Background Check initiated by the University Centers.

Successful applicants must complete Adult CPR, AED, and First AID certification courses within 8 weeks of beginning employment. Certification sessions will be provided by the University Centers. These certifications must be kept up to date throughout employment with the University Centers. Where applicable, Concussion Protocol Training will also be provided by the University Centers and must be completed within the same timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with programming and organization and/or previous experience as a supervisor/manager is preferred.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP.

Education

The Senior Activity Supervisor must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
