Telework: up to 24 hours per week may be available for this position based on mission needs/available tasking at the discretion of leadership, after the individual has become fully acclimated to the duties and responsibilities of the position and has completed the necessary telework training
Basic Requirements:
  • 20 years of experience as a software engineer
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a technical discipline
    • 4 additional years of experience as a software engineer may be substituted for a degree

Job Description:
  • Strong full-stack software developer with functional UI experience but primarily focused on backend web services and servers.  
  • Experience with open-source integrations would be great and any experience with open-source tools is required - i.e. AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, Tomcat, Spring, JMS and AWS.  
  • Strong communication skills are needed. 
  • Other technologies required: java, javascript, mongo DB, Elasticsearch, Postgres, and Mysql

Tech stack areas of experience/understanding would be:
  • Critical: Java threading, SpringBoot, JavaScript, JMS,  MongoDB, AWS, Amazon RDS
  • REST, Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Cockroach DB or other RDBMS at similar scale, COOP, Large scale distributed systems with high availability
  • Desired:  Kibana, Alfresco, Content Management tools, Node, Svelt, React, and Angular
  • Confluence, Jira, Maven, Git

Salary: $240,000 - $250,000 annually
