Job description

Title: Senior Analyst, Forecast Planning

Reports to: Manager, Strategic Planning & SKU Master

Department: Operations 


Position Summary:

The Forecast Planning Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing historical data, market trends, and customer demand to develop accurate forecasts and optimize inventory levels. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, gratitude, marketing, logistic, finance, master data, assembly, procurement, and different teams from operations, to ensure that the company is meeting customer needs while minimizing inventory costs, air shipments and OOS. This person will have a high level of data analytics and problem-solving skills and be versed in best practice demand forecast methods.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing team and international market owners to gather information about promotions, new product launches and other factors that may impact demand.
  • Work with supply chain teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demands while minimizing cost and waste.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on demand trends, forecast accuracy, and inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assign products or categories using statistical models and other forecasting techniques.
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, market conditions, and customer behavior to identify potential risk and opportunities.
  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build collaborative relationships with international teams.
  • Achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain.
  • Support with necessary data and reporting for new product forecasting.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Job Requirements:

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, inventory planning, or a related analytical field. 
  • Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, demand planning processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles. 
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA, MRP, ERP3, or similar enterprise planning and inventory management systems. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business strategies that support company growth and operational efficiency. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis tools. 
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and business intelligence methodologies. 
  • Strong understanding of methods used to analyze business trends, customer demand, and operational performance to support strategic decision-making. 
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field is considered an asset.
