Senior Asset Management Analyst
Location: Plano, TX
Schedule: 100% Onsite, Monday through Friday
Payrate: $60 - $70
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Management Analyst to support a corporate accounting and finance team responsible for managing fixed assets and lease accounting activities. This role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting audits, and driving process improvements related to asset management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with large asset portfolios, improving financial processes, and collaborating across multiple departments including Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage fixed asset accounting records and asset registers
  • Record asset acquisitions, transfers, retirements, and disposals
  • Perform depreciation calculations and ensure accurate capitalization of assets
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Assist with lease accounting administration and leased asset tracking
  • Conduct asset audits and investigate discrepancies
  • Support budgeting and forecasting related to capital expenditure
  • Prepare management reports and variance analysis
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate asset tracking and compliance
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA designation required
  • Public accounting experience required
  • 3+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting and/or lease accounting
  • 3 to 10 years of overall accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Big 4 public accounting experience
  • Experience supporting large corporate asset portfolios
  • Background in process improvement initiatives
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, automotive, or similar asset-intensive environment
