Your Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop products from conceptualization to launch
  • Collaborates and consults with Test, Tooling, Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in support of new product development
  • Interacts with customers and suppliers as needed to assess new technology needs
  • Partner with Product management and Sales to create solutions for a growing Biopharmaceutical market
  • Leads or assists in efforts to resolve product performance issues
  • Adheres to all safety regulations
  • Demonstrates support of CPC core values
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, or another related field.
  • 7+ years of design and product development experience
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • CAD proficiency – PTC Creo, Solidworks, etc
  • Knowledge and grasp of rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated history of design innovation
  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach toward the definition of new products, complimented by an educated and realistic business outlook
  • Prior experience in the design of injection molded plastic components is strongly preferred.
  • This role may require up to 5% of travel, domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.
