Role

We are seeking an Analyst, FP&A to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support Lithium Americas corporate functions and the Thacker Pass operation through highquality managerial accounting, financial analysis, and business partnership. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate sitelevel financial reporting, supporting operational decisionmaking, and strengthening financial processes as the project advances. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a missiondriven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.

The role is based at our Reno, Nevada office and will initially report to the Manager, FP&A, although will be a shared resource supporting the Finance Manager at the Thacker Pass site as well as the organization evolves. Travel to Winnemucca and other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations will be required on occasion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting processes for the Corporate functions and Thacker Pass operations
  • Assist with monthly variance analysis by compiling financial results, identifying trends, and preparing supporting commentary
  • Prepare cost reports, operational metrics, and financial performance summaries to support business decisions
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for Finance and operational stakeholders
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and improve reporting accuracy
  • Maintain financial data, reporting schedules, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Support cost tracking, capital project reporting, and other financial analysis activities as required
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
  • Build strong working relationships across teams while supporting a culture that reflects and supports our Purpose, Vision, and Values
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, reporting, internships, or related analytical roles
  • Interest in pursuing a CPA, CMA, or other finance-related designation is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with financial and operational data
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting concepts
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information clearly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems, reporting tools, or ERP systems is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and develop skills in financial planning and analysis
