Location: Fairfax, VA – Hybrid

Job Description :

We are seeking a Part-Time Senior Financial Services Manager to join our expanding team. The Senior Financial Services Manager will lead our JAMIS system's development, administration, and management. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in system implementations, change management, and successful engagement with stakeholders. Government contracting experience is mandatory, while BI reporting experience, or similar, is an added advantage. Extensive JAMIS experience is a MUST!

Work location:

  • Fairfax, VA – Hybrid, must be able to come into the office at least three days a week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all current system projects.
  • Drive continuous optimization and improvements in JAMIS, emphasizing enhancing support for contracts.
  • Lead the interfacing with JAMIS for support, licensing costs, and relationship management.
  • Provide operational and business user support as needed.
  • Offer support and enhancements for reporting outside the system, particularly in Business Intelligence (BI) reporting.
  • Build and maintain BI reports, leveraging a user-focused background to ensure the highest quality work product.
  • Perform system admin duties, including user access, segregation of duties reviews, and seat license management.
  • Participate in evaluating and revising the indirect rate structure.
  • Maintain cost pools and allocations, aiming to run P&Ls down to controllable and net contribution margins with corporate allocations of G&A functions, etc.
  • Provide support for other reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities.
  • Focus on key modules/functions and potential other initiatives, including Contracts, Projects module in the GovCon context, JAMIS workflows, and interfacing with Operations and others on the Power BI tool.
  • Assist in implementing an accounting workflow and reconciliation tool, supporting the Accounting function.
  • Experience working with Joint Ventures
  • Ad hoc analysis may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of general accounting experience including supervision of various accounting functions, including 5 years of government contracting accounting.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with JAMIS
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing and managing complex system and module implementations.
  • Proven proficiency in building and maintaining BI reports, with a user-centric approach to ensure the delivery of high-quality work products.
  • Financial analysis, reporting, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) support, and familiarity with MS Power BI is a plus.
  • Understanding of indirect rate structures, maintaining/updating cost pools and allocations.
  • Project management experience related to reworking the chart of accounts and JAMIS Org structure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience interfacing with various departments, particularly Operations and Accounting.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Work experience with QuickBooks
  • CPA or MBA
