Job description

Description

A Fiber Splicer installs, terminates, tests, and repairs fiber optic cables for commercial electronic security and low-voltage networks. This role requires expertise in both single and ribbon fiber splicing, interpreting system blueprints, and using specialized equipment to ensure secure, high-speed data transmission

Cable Splicing: Prepare, strip, and accurately splice fiber optic strands using both fusion and mechanical techniques in Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) environments. Testing & Troubleshooting: Operate advanced diagnostic tools such as OTDRs (Optical Time Domain Reflectometers) and optical power meters to ensure optimal signal quality and locate faults. Blueprint Reading: Interpret schematics, floor plans, and splice matrices to execute precise cable routing and connections. System Maintenance: Maintain splice enclosures, patch panels, and update fiber documentation upon project completion.

Pay and Benefits
