Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance backend services including API and web-socket servers, etc.
  • Maintain and enhance web console applications built using the React Framework.
  • Maintain and enhance services which operate in near real-time on customer manufacturing data.
  • Architect new data flows within our platform.
  • Troubleshoot and help maintain regular operation of our platform.
  • Work with DevOps team to automate deployment of existing and new applications.
  • Work with DevOps team to improve Observability stack.
  • Work with Customer / Solutions team to solve new problems and develop new features to enhance the customer experience.

Experience:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields with relevant experience (5-10 years) demonstrating an equivalent level of thinking and execution.
  • Five plus years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience with UI development.
  • Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with dashboards and charting.
  • Experience with real-time streaming protocols: Kafka, MQTT, web sockets.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, specifically, time-series data, reinforcement learning, training strategies, GPU resource tuning and optimization of training.
  • Experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining production applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms.

Hard Skills:

  • Fluency with Python, Typescript, Node.js, React, and RESTful APIs.
  • SQL, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy.
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, REST).
  • AWS cloud stack: Cloud Front, ECS, S3, IAM, SQS.
  • Demonstrates an excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Soft Skills:

  • Clear and easy to read documentation of all code/projects.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and patience to evaluate and troubleshoot process and control system performance.
  • Capable producing innovative solutions to engineering problems and customer operational issues.
  • Ability to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, computer & software skills.
  • Ability to explain moderately complex information to others in concise manner.
  • Good written and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.
