Job Description

This role will be part of Fluor’s Advanced Technology and Life Sciences business line.

  • Develop a project specific expediting strategy including expediting requirements for pre and post award activities

  • Review project requirements and develop discipline specific staffing plan for review and identify suitable skillsets for staffing

  • Manage disciple specific personnel on project and provide performance feedback for development

  • Monitor supplier progress against contractual delivery milestones and manufacturing schedules

  • Track supplier performance and identify potential delivery risks or schedule impacts

  • Manage and coordinate third-party expeditors when assigned

  • Proactively communicate anticipated delays to Supply Chain, Project and Client management

  • Coordinate resolution of overages, shortages, and damages (OSD) with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Lead weekly expediting meetings to align expectations and schedules

  • Maintain strong working relationships with client and suppliers and actively participate in leadership and sponsorship meetings

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date expediting status and reports using approved material management ERP system

  • Have a strong understanding of supplier manufacturing processes, delivery risk, and contract‑driven milestones

  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

  • May need to travel to attend to business related matters

  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
