About VIYA

VIYA is a remediation service provider focused on solving complex soil and groundwater contamination challenges. Formed through the partnership of McMillan-McGee (Mc2) and ORIN Technologies, we deliver biological, chemical, and thermal solutions using a flexible, technology-agnostic approach for contaminants including PFAS, VOCs, and other emerging contaminants.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Project Manager/Environmental Technician at our Verona, Wisconsin location to support the delivery of environmental remediation projects and field operations. The Project Manager/Environmental Technician is responsible for managing projects from planning through implementation, while contributing to hands-on field execution and system support.

Responsibilities include client coordination, field oversight, laboratory support, and equipment maintenance to ensure successful project execution and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. While VIYA offers a range of remediation approaches, this position is primarily focused on chemical oxidation and bioremediation applications, along with supporting thermal remediation systems in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination and execution of remediation projects across planning, design, field deployment, and closeout.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, supporting clear communication, alignment, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and manage project deliverables, including cost estimates, proposals, schedules, and contractor bid packages.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and compliant project execution.
  • Execute in-situ and ex-situ remediation applications using a range of treatment chemistries and technologies.
  • Support field operations, including system installation, injection activities, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety plans, regulatory requirements, and quality standards across all activities.
  • Support supervision and coordination of field personnel to drive safe, high-quality execution.
  • Interpret field and laboratory data to evaluate system performance and support technical decision-making.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and prepare specialized equipment to ensure readiness for field deployment.
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, and inventory to support efficient project delivery.
  • Identify operational challenges and contribute to continuous improvement in field execution and technical approaches.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in environmental remediation, field operations, or related technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience with remediation systems, chemical applications, and field-based project execution.
  • Track record of delivering projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and client outcomes.
  • Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
