Job Description

Our Client is looking for Senior Environmental Scientist in Windham, CT. This is predominately a field position overseeing electrical transmission line right-of-way vegetation clearing work. Position includes inspecting land clearing contractor work for compliance with contract specifications and Best Management Practices (BMP's), and local, state and federal permit requirements.

Position: Senior Environmental Scientist

Location: Windham, CT

Duration: Contract

Hourly Rate: DOE

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years' experience in Transmission Line required.
  • Experience with overseeing vegetation clearing for linear project is preferred but not required.
  • Holding a license or certification in forestry and/or arboriculture is a plus.
  • GIS and GPS knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Candidates with degrees in wetland or soil science, wildlife biology or environmental science with a strong background in forestry or arboriculture will also be considered.
