Job Description:
This professional position is assigned the responsibility/accountability to provide leadership and ongoing support, to meet and exceed all accreditation and regulatory standards within the physical environment throughout the Enterprise. Primary responsibility is to direct the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety management activities by conducting risk assessments, coordination of data and analysis, facilitation/coordination of quality improvement initiatives, environmental tours, and to report the effectiveness of the Environmental Safety program to Administration and the Board.Education:
• Required: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: Master's Degree
Experience:
• Required: Five years health care experience to include two years of management experience
• Preferred: Project management, Accreditation surveys, CMS/State regulations, OSHA & NFPA codes related to the physical environment
Skills:
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent organizational and priority setting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in environmental safety
