  • Lead public outreach efforts, including meetings, workshops, and community engagement activities
  • Serve as liaison to advisory boards, elected officials, and planning and zoning committees
  • Conduct research and analysis on demographic, economic, and environmental variables
  • Develop and maintain project-related databases and planning tools
  • Represent VHB at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong project and client management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong understanding of planning principles, research methods, and data analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with transportation agencies and State DOTs (preferred)
  • Knowledge of land use planning, transportation, aviation, or related specialization areas
  • Experience with innovative planning approaches such as smart growth, new urbanism, and sustainability initiatives
  • Proficiency in GIS a plus
  • Ability to apply statistical and analytical methods to real-world planning challenges
  • Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications
