Job Description
Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join the NE environmental group in our Parsippany, NJ office for large scale infrastructure projects. The ideal applicant must be flexible, client focused, and proficient in the transportation project delivery process. Individuals qualified for this position should have environmental analysis, NEPA, state and local environmental analysis expertise, state and federal permitting experience in New Jersey (General/Nationwide /Individual Wetland Permits, Pinelands and Highlands and Coastal Wetland Permits, including Waterfront Development and CAFRA permits) and experience in coordinating with jurisdictional agencies.
The candidate must be flexible, client focused and capable of working independently, while supporting a team that includes engineers, scientists, and field personnel. The work required is diverse and ranges from performing and/or coordination of field inspection and soil/groundwater sampling to technical work that requires strong communication skills and knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Adobe Acrobat. Current OSHA 40-hour certification and/or other applicable certification preferred

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate work of multiple environmental disciplines on large scale infrastructure projects and interact with designers and contractors involved in project development and construction.
  • Supervise staff necessary to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Coordinate project activities with client and project team and consult with regulatory agencies.
  • Lead proposal preparation, contract review and execution, and manage project activities with a focus on quality delivery and scope/budget/schedule adherence.
  • Perform reviews of permit documents, plans and technical studies and develop project execution strategies.

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • BS Environmental Science, Geology, or related field a must
  • Advanced degrees in Planning, Environmental Sciences a plus
  • Professional licenses/certifications desired, including PG, LSRP
  • 15-20 years of experience overseeing the execution of environmental technical studies and permitting tasks for complex infrastructure projects
  • 10-15 years of project management experience on large scale infrastructure projects in the NE region
  • Strong reputation and long-term relationships with resource, regulatory, and permitting agencies
  • Active involvement with professional organizations at the regional and national level

Salary Range
The projected range for this position is $125,038 to $180,858 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
