A Senior Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) professional is responsible for evaluating the environmental impacts of products, processes, or services throughout their entire life cycle—from raw material extraction to disposal. They use specialized tools and methodologies to collect data, analyze energy and material flows, and assess factors such as carbon footprint, water usage, and waste generation. Their findings help organizations make informed decisions to minimize environmental impacts, comply with regulations, and achieve sustainability goals. Senior professionals often lead teams, manage projects, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Mastery of LCA software tools like SimaPro, GaBi, or OpenLCA, along with knowledge of ISO 14040/44 standards, is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, project management, and effective communication skills help you interpret data and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. These skills ensure accurate environmental impact assessments and enable organizations to make informed, sustainable decisions.
