Job description

Entrance Technologies is growing its clientele, and we have and excellent opportunity for an Automatic Door Installer Technician to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an installer, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and driven. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with an outstanding benefits package. This is the perfect opportunity to build a career at a leading company in the automatic entrance field. This is a high-travel position Monday-Thursday, with 3 day weekends every week.

Essential Functions:

  • Installs automatic doors on-site at the customer's facility.
  • Maintains and creates relationships with customers and potential customers.
  • Uses manuals and other resources to ensure installations are correct.
  • Maintains the correct inventory on the company vehicle to adequately complete the installation.
  • Become AAADM certified at company expense.
  • Maintain the company provided vehicle in good operating condition.
  • Maintain contact with the Installation Dispatcher throughout each workday.
  • Properly document required installation information in dispatch tablet system.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Available for regular overnight travel throughout the state (Monday to Thursday)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient with a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to differentiate colors
  • Proficient Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Basic Analytical/Decision Making Skills
  • Proficient Human Relations and Team Skills
  • Proficient Planning and Organizational Skills
  • Proficient Computer Skills

*MUST be able to pass background screenings and drug test

Environmental Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Occasionally lifts 50 lbs. overhead.
  • Often works on a ladder with hands overhead.
  • Often works on knees for extended times.
  • Often works on hard surfaces.
  • Repetitive hand motions
  • Independently travels throughout assigned region of Wisconsin and/or U.P. Michigan by company provided van.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Salary/Benefits

  • Entry-level pay of $22-24 per hour DOE; experienced technician pay of $30 +/- per hour DOE
  • Per diem for overnight travel
  • Evaluation with a potential pay increase after 90 days
  • Work shirts provided
  • Stipends provided for boots and work pants (after 90 days)
