Job description

Senior Environmental Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Environmental Manager with a passion for innovation and a commitment to environmental excellence. This full-time, onsite position in Atlanta, Georgia, requires a leader who is ready to challenge conventional thinking and drive continuous improvement in environmental compliance and project management.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the preparation of air, water, and waste permit applications, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations such as the Clean Air Act and other related standards.
  • Oversee and guide projects related to air quality permitting, emissions inventories, and compliance with Title V, PSD, and NESHAP regulations.
  • Prepare and review essential documents, including engineering calculations, compliance reports, and various environmental plans and submissions.
  • Address challenges related to air and water quality, waste management, and process safety through strategic decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Develop junior staff through mentorship, feedback, and professional development programs.
  • Stay current with environmental regulations and implement strategies to support clients in achieving compliance effectively and economically.
  • Utilize digital tools and software to enhance operational efficiency and project management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental compliance consulting and/or manufacturing, with a focus on air permitting.
  • Professional certification such as Professional Engineering or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager is ideal.
  • Proficiency in formulating air permit applications and performing air emission calculations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in technical writing.
  • Ability to travel within the United States periodically.
