Job description

Position Summary:As an acting Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced cybersecurity solutions across Satellite Industries' & Satellite Shelters' infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and deployment of enterprise-grade security solutions, including endpoint protection, network segmentation, and cloud security controls.
  • Conduct advanced threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to proactively identify and remediate risks.
  • Design and maintain cybersecurity awareness training and perform regular internal phishing audits & tests.
  • Architect SIEM integrations, log aggregation pipelines, and incident response playbooks.
  • Collaborate with business leadership to define and enforce security policies aligned with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
  • Oversee E-Mail security health checks, risk acceptance workflows, and compliance timelines.
  • Mentor staff on cybersecurity best practices and contribute to hiring and onboarding new team members within IT.
  • Serve as a technical lead in cross-functional initiatives, including risk reviews and ERP (Sage X3 and Microsoft BC) platform security.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, ideally within enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, cloud security (Azure/M365), and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and scripting for automation.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical risks to business impact.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or relevant work experience
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, ideally within enterprise environments.
