Job description

Contractor- 1099

Badger Telecom is seeking motivated individuals and crews to perform fiber and telephone drop bury work in San Antonio, Uvalde, Eagle Pass, Laredo and communities in between this region.

Experience Preferred, But Not Required

We are willing to work with hardworking individuals who are eager to learn and have a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Install fiber and telephone service lines at 6 inch depths

  • Perform drop bury operations in residential and commercial areas

  • Dig trenches and work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Complete basic fiber splicing tasks

  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment

  • Interact professionally with customers and property owners

  • Follow project specifications and company procedures

Requirements

  • Effective communication with Leadership and team members   
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
  • Comfortable using hand tools and digging equipment

  • Reliable transportation

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Basic customer service and communication skills

  • Experience in telecommunications, fiber pulling, construction, or utility work is a plus
