About this Position:
Social Driver is seeking aDirector of Engagement Integrated Strategyto join our Client Engagement team in a senior leadership capacity. This role is designed for a strategic architect who excels at connecting multiple disciplines to deliver cohesive client solutions and lead high-level relationships with a focus on trust and authenticity. As a primary strategic partner, you will manage a dedicated portfolio of clients while serving as a vital consultant for the broader team, stepping into various project types to provide clarity, elevate the quality of work, and ensure operational continuity and client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will transform broad, often ambiguous client goals into organized, actionable strategiesand plansthat internal teams can execute with precision. This requires a professional with significant agency experience and a versatile skill set, including the intellectual range to provide confident strategic direction across digital, communications, and marketing disciplines. Beyond technical expertise, the role demands operational agilitya proactive mindset suited for an evolving agency environment where navigating complex projects is the norm. Ultimately, you will be responsible for providing inclusive guidance, turning unclear briefs into structured executable plans that empower our diverse teams to succeed and move ambitious programs forward.


Key Responsibilities


Client Strategy & Relationship Leadership

  • Own a dedicated portfolio of clients as their primary strategic partner and day-to-day relationship lead.
  • Lead with expertise and confidence regardless of the discipline or channel the work involves, from digital and content to communications, web, or marketing strategy.
  • Run client meetings, workshops, and reviews with a presence that builds credibility and trust.
  • Anticipate client needs before theyre expressed, and proactively bring forward smart recommendations and strategic direction.
  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships that result in high client satisfaction and engagement growth.


Integrated Project Architecture & Strategy

  • Step into projects across any discipline and quickly provide strategic direction, whether the work is well-defined or still taking shape.
  • Architect projects and programs that lack clear definition, scope the work, establish the framework, define deliverables, and align internal teams and clients around a shared plan.
  • Translate ambiguous client goals into structured, executable strategies that teams can build against.
  • Apply deep cross-disciplinary knowledge, spanning digital strategy, UX, content, communications, marketing, and more, to build solutions that are both sophisticated and pragmatic.
  • Serve as a senior thought partner across the engagement team, contributing strategic direction on peer accounts as needed.


Program & Team Coordination

  • Oversee the overall strategic direction and health of client programs, ensuring alignment across disciplines and consistent quality of output.
  • Partner with project management and specialist teams to maintain timelines, scope, and delivery standards.
  • Flex into any workstream with a high level of skill, providing real value regardless of whether the work falls within a primary specialty.
  • Identify risks and ambiguity early, and resolve them before they become problems for the client or the team.


Qualifications

  • Agency experience.Youve operated at pace inside a digital, communications, or marketing agency and know what it takes to manage complex work across multiple clients and stakeholders. Experience within in-house or brand organizations is a meaningful bonus, as it gives you a client-side perspective that makes you a better partner.
  • Broad, deep cross-disciplinary knowledge.You have genuine fluency across the disciplines we work in, including digital strategy, web and UX, content, communications, social media, marketing, and more. You dont just know what they are, you understand how they work deeply enough to architect projects within any of them and guide teams with authority.
  • Strategic architecture skills.You excel at taking ambiguity and turning it into a plan. You know how to define scope, build frameworks, and give teams the structure they need to execute well, even when the client brief is still taking shape.
  • Client relationship instincts.You are a trusted presence in every client interaction. You ask the right questions, provide thoughtful counsel, and build the kind of relationships where clients actively seek your perspective.
  • Intellectual range.You can walk into a room and speak credibly about almost anything we do, and you enjoy operating that way. Youre curious, adaptive, and comfortable with complexity.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.You present with confidence, write with clarity, and can run a workshop or working session that moves things forward.
  • Experience.7+ years of relevant experience, with a strong track record of managing client relationships and leading complex, multi-disciplinary programs at an agency or agency-like environment.
  • Travel.Occasional, as-needed travel may be required to support key initiatives and client engagements.
