Quality Control Specialist

2nd Shift

Be a part of our rapidly expanding startup team by joining GLOVIS EV Logistics America LLC as a Quality Control Specialist. We are seeking skilled individuals with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude in approaching their duties. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the continuous improvement of automotive parts quality through daily quality control operations.

Reports to: QC Senior Manager
 


Quality Control Specialist Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage the Quality Control work area, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Supervise part sorting activities: monitor progress, sorting targets, manage FIFO tracking, and ensure Cleanpoint integrity.
  • Lead on-site workforce: provide task direction, monitor attendance, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Maintain and manage QC-related equipment such as forklifts, PDAs, and consumables.
  • Support management of BLOCK parts and EO (Engineering Order) change parts in compliance with FIFO.
  • Generate regular quality reports for submission to upper management (weekly ~ annually)
  • Other duties as assigned.
     


Required Qualifications for Quality Control Specialist:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (skills will be tested)
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Ability to understand and operate ERP, WMS or similar systems.
  • Effective communicator with team coordination and supervisory experience


Preferred Qualifications for Quality Control Specialist:

  • Engineering or Supply Chain degree preferred
  • Experience in warehouse operations, automotive logistics, or manufacturing quality control.
  • Working knowledge of FIFO and Cleanpoint systems.


This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items.
