About the Role
CloudBees is hiring a Senior Accountant to support our commissions accounting operations while partnering closely with the General Ledger (G&L) team. Roughly half of the role is dedicated to commissions accounting-ensuring accurate, timely calculations and reconciliations-while the majority of the remaining time supports core G&L activities such as month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Systems and data integration work is a consistent part of the role, connecting our accounting platforms and improving how financial data flows across the function. This is a high-visibility position with broad exposure across accounting, offering strong learning and growth opportunities for someone looking to deepen and broaden their finance career.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support commissions accounting operations-approximately 50% of the role-by calculating, recording, and reconciling sales commissions in accordance with company policy.
  • Partner with the General Ledger (G&L) team to execute month-end and quarter-end close, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain systems and data integration across accounting platforms, ensuring data flows accurately between systems and supporting ongoing automation efforts.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by compiling supporting documentation and schedules.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen internal controls and increase efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and CloudBees accounting policies.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting operations.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience supporting systems and data integration between financial applications.

Preferred (not required):
  • Experience with commissions accounting or sales compensation.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP) and integration or automation tooling.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually In accordance with applicable law, this represents a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above. Outside of base compensation, CloudBees also offers stock options and variable bonuses.
  • What CloudBees Offers:
    • Health Insurance
