  • Participate in user visioning, programming workshops, and stakeholder engagement.

4. Building Repositioning Knowledge
  • Apply design strategies that enhance leasing potential for repositioned commercial spaces such as lobbies, amenities, spec suites, and base building upgrades.

  • Understand the unique needs of landlord-driven projects and broker collaboration.

  • Contribute to test fits and speculative suite planning aligned with real estate trends and tenant demands.

5. Documentation Oversight
  • Support the creation of design deliverables including Revit models, material boards, finish schedules, and documentation sets.

  • Coordinate with technical teams and consultants to ensure constructability and design compliance.

  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and mock-ups during the construction phase as needed.

Accountabilities:

The Design Manager / Senior Design Engineer is accountable for:

  • Design quality and consistency across assigned projects.

  • Clear, coordinated communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

  • Effective management of design staff and timelines.

  • Client satisfaction and alignment of outcomes with stated design goals.

Key Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial interior design with workplace and building repositioning focus.

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Interior Design or Architecture (NCIDQ strongly preferred).

  • Strong portfolio showcasing experience in corporate interiors, adaptive reuse, and amenity-rich commercial projects.

  • Excellent space planning, detailing, FF&E, and finish specification skills.
