Description:

The Senior Data Warehouse Analyst will support the company’s data warehouse and reporting environment by working with business users to understand data needs and help turn data into reliable, usable information. This role will assist with analyzing, organizing, validating, and improving data from various internal and external sources while supporting the technical processes used to move and manage data. The position will work with data warehouse tables, queries, data flows, ETL processes, stored procedures, and reporting datasets to help ensure information is accurate, complete, and available for business use. The ideal candidate can bridge business questions with technical data solutions and support reporting, data quality, and data warehouse initiatives. 

  • Work with business users to understand reporting, analytics, and data needs. 
  • Help define data fields, business rules, calculations, and report logic. 
  • Review data results with business users to confirm accuracy and usability. 
  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, or process issues that impact reporting. 
  • Support recurring reports, ad hoc data requests, dashboards, and business analysis needs. 
  • Communicate data issues, findings, and recommendations. 
  • Document report definitions, data logic, business rules, and process changes. 
  • Analyze raw data from internal systems, external files, partner data, and other sources. 
  • Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to research, validate, and extract data. 
  • Support data warehouse tables, views, stored procedures, and reporting datasets. 
  • Assist with ETL processes, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and data loads. 
  • Map source data to data warehouse tables and reporting structures. 
  • Clean, transform, and validate data before and after it is loaded into the data warehouse. 
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, and issue resolution. 
  • Troubleshoot missing data, incorrect data, failed loads, and reporting discrepancies. 
  • Help maintain documentation for data flows, table logic, stored procedures, ETL processes, and refresh schedules. 
  • Support improvements to data warehouse processes, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy. 


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience in data warehousing 
  • Experience working with data warehouse concepts, data flows, data validation, and reporting datasets. 
  • Experience using reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms to create, maintain, and support reports and datasets. 
  • Strong expertise in working with ETL processes, stored procedures, scheduled jobs, SSIS, or similar data tools. 
  • Experience working with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Excel, or similar tools. 
  • Experience analyzing, validating, reconciling, and documenting data. 
  • Insurance industry experience preferred. 
  • Proven track record managing enterprise data initiatives, governance, and compliance. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organization, analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
