What is the difference between ETL and DWH?

A Freelance Data Warehouse Analyst understands that ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) is the process of moving and preparing data from various sources into a data warehouse (DWH), which is a centralized repository for storing integrated data. ETL involves data extraction, cleaning, and transformation, while DWH provides a structured environment for analysis and reporting. Skills in SQL, data modeling, and ETL tools are essential for working effectively with both concepts.

Is AI replacing data analysts?

AI tools are automating certain tasks within data analysis, such as data cleaning and basic reporting, but the role of a data warehouse analyst involves interpreting complex data, making strategic decisions, and ensuring data quality, which require human expertise. AI is a complement rather than a replacement, and analysts who develop skills in machine learning and data management remain valuable. Continuous learning and adapting to new tools are essential for data analysts to stay relevant in an evolving environment.

How much does a freelance data analyst make?

Freelance data warehouse analysts typically earn between $30 and $100 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and project complexity.
