Job description

LHH is representing a growing distribution organization, seeking a Senior Data Analyst to transform complex operational data into actionable business insights. This position plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management, and executive decision-making through advanced analytics and reporting.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and can adapt quickly as business priorities evolve. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide visibility into key operational and financial metrics.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, cleanse, analyze, and validate data from multiple systems and databases.
  • Analyze distribution, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, transportation, and customer service data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights that support strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain data models, KPIs, scorecards, and forecasting tools to measure operational performance.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and collaborate with IT and business teams to improve data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests and special projects in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Mentor junior analysts and help establish analytics best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytics role.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and data manipulation.
  • Strong experience developing dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions in Power BI.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and translating findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data validation, and reporting best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in an ever-changing business environment.
  • Experience within distribution, logistics, supply chain, warehousing, manufacturing, or transportation industries is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with ERP, WMS, TMS, or other operational systems.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Exposure to predictive analytics, forecasting, or statistical analysis.
  • Experience leading analytics projects and collaborating across multiple departments.
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
