Position: Assistant Dietary Director/Cook
Work Schedule:Full Time
Wage: $19.00-$22.00/Hour
Appleton Senior Living is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Dietary Director to support the daily operations of our dining services department. This leadership role assists in ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have previous dietary services experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for our residents.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the daily management of dining services operations
  • Support the supervision, training, and scheduling of dietary staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with menu execution, food preparation/quality, and resident satisfaction
  • Work with the culinary staff to prep & prepare meals.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering food and supplies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining environment
  • Collaborate with leadership and care teams to support resident dietary needs
  • Help foster a positive, team-oriented culture within the department

Qualifications:
  • Previous dietary services experience required
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ServSafe Certification preferred or ability to obtain
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
