About the Role:
  • The Controller is responsible for taking on a leadership role for the financial integrity of PeopleFund. This will involve working with senior management and across functions to ensure the accuracy and quality of the financial reporting. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, the Controller plays a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures and controls to improve and maintain the quality and consistency of the financial statements of PeopleFund. The Controller will report to the CFO.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure the accurateness and completeness of the general accounts and internal financial controls of PeopleFund.
  • Management of the financial accounting system.
  • Managing the Audit process including the IRS 990 report and Financial Statements.
  • Managing the monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reporting cycles.
  • Cash Management & Risk Management
  • Management and Investor Reporting & Financial/Investment Analysis
  • Ensure accuracy of the Investor Relations Reporting & Investment Portfolio Management.
  • Ensure full transparency of the financial performance of the company.
  • Ensure full transparency of the financial performance of the company through adherence to FASB Accounting Standards and complete and accurate reporting including but not limited to working with auditors in annual audit, actual vs budget reports, tracking of KPIs, and compliance.
  • Support the CFO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans and budgets.
  • Support the front desk / Office Manager, facilities.
  • Support HR function.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as needed as assigned

Requirements :
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Professional accounting designation as CPA required
• 10+ years' experience in accounting and finance positions
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role / position
• Experience working in non-profits is an advantage.
• Experience working with government contracts and/or grants is an advantage.
• Experience working in Financial Services is an advantage.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
• Exceptional communication skills
• Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
