Senior Content Editor
C² Technologies seeks a Senior Content Editor to ensure the quality of written content for use in online and classroom training products. The Senior Content Editor will be responsible for reviewing content for clarity and consistency, coaching junior content editors, and optimizing content development workflows. This is an onsite or hybrid position.
Summary:
The Senior Content Editor will work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers to review and refine training materials. This position will ensure that all written content aligns with instructional goals and meets quality standards for clarity, accuracy, and engagement.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to instructional standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior content editors.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy.
  • Optimize content development workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Review and ensure compliance with Section 508/web accessibility standards.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Master's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in content editing for instructional materials.
  • Strong knowledge of AP, CMOS, and other industry-standard style guides.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508).
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, LMS).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a project-based environment.

Tools & Software:
  • Content management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Expertise in editing and proofreading instructional materials.
