Basic Function: Assist with ideating and executing engaging short and mid-form video content for LOVB Houston's social media platforms, capturing the energy of professional volleyball and building connections with fans.
Job Function (Duties & Responsibilities):
  • Create short-form video content for LOVB Houston social accounts including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X (Twitter)
  • Lead the end-to-end production of serial digital content, including filming, editing, post-production, and creation of promotional content clips
  • Shoot and edit short-form video content at matches, practices, and LOVB Houston events
  • Monitor content trends and identify engagement opportunities across all platforms
  • Contribute creative and innovative content ideas tailored to volleyball, athletes, and fan culture
  • Capture behind-the-scenes moments, player personalities, and match-day energy
  • Assist in developing storytelling around athletes, team identity, and the LOVB brand
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, partnerships, PR) on content initiatives
  • Provide support for Texans digital video production as needed
  • Assist with on-site photography coverage as needed
  • Assist Club and Club staff in a professional manner on all Texans gamedays, LSSE Events, LOVB Volleyball Houston Events and duties within the Business operations offices
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by the Sr. Content Manager and Executive Director of Digital Media and Content Distribution

Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, many job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club's offices on a regular basis and not in a telecommuting manner.
Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) and other multimedia tools
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and short-form video trends
  • Ability to work all matches and events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong decision-making skills related to content execution and prioritization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships across internal teams and with athletes
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
  • High attention to detail with ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace software applications

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum one (1) year experience filming and editing video content for a sports team, brand, or media organization preferred
