We work on the cutting-edge of web performance. We are responsible for the technical sales of our innovative performance products and services. We work in partnership across Akamai to ensure we present the right technical solution to our customers.

Partner with the best

As a Senior TSA, you'll design solutions meeting the business and technical requirements of web performance customers. You'll develop customer relationships using a consultative approach to address their challenges and achieve their business goals. The Senior TSA engages in complex customer opportunities while providing technical and market expertise to support Sales.

As a Senior Technical Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading strategy and customer conversations in selling web performance products from a technical go-to-market perspective.

  • Supporting strategic opportunities and accounts as a Pre-Sales technology specialist and technical escalation point

  • Participating and contributing as the subject matter expert in one or more web performance products.

  • Assisting Solutions Engineer teams with complex Proof of Concepts and escalated technical discussions to drive opportunities forward.

  • Influencing strategy for products focusing on cloud and edge computing, DevOps, website/mobile apps, real-user monitoring, and CDN.

  • Working closely with Engineering and Product Management to influence new product design and existing product roadmap.

  • Leading Pre-Sales SME enablement groups in your specialized or other assigned domains.

  • Leveraging a deep understanding of competitors to provide internal teams with guidance on how to surpass them.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another related field

  • Have experience working in large, complex customer facing environments

  • Have experience in technical pre-sales working directly with customers

  • Have experience with proxy architectures, malware, endpoint protections, and threat mitigation techniques.

  • Demonstrate experience with technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, APIs, CI/CD and cloud computing architecture

  • Have experience in technologies including DNS, Enterprise architectures, Cloud Security, SAML and OIDC, IdPs, Authentication and Authorization

  • Have great communication skills, including the ability to present technical and business-related subjects to all audiences

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 - $215,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
