ATI Millersburg is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. If you are looking for an opportunity to support a growing, world-class manufacturing company with multiple manufacturing operations, then this position is for you!
Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for all aspects of design, development, and implementation of equipment control systems projects with the goal of improving plant efficiency and provide technical counseling to our internal and external customers and suppliers.
Specifically, the Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for:
  • Knowledge and familiarity of safe work practices around electrical power equipment
  • Working with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate equipment selection, purchasing, and installation
  • Designing and developing machine control system architecture fit to customer needs and specifications
  • Designing and implementing network systems to support distributed control and data collection
  • Develop system documentation including electrical drawings, network diagrams, system block diagrams, and technical and user references
  • Write machine control software to support equipment installation, integration and continuous improvement
  • Provide administration and development of computer operating system and application software
  • Communicate and present project status, costs, and schedule information to Management, Operations, Technical Staff, Maintenance, Consulting Engineers, Contractors, and Vendors

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum 5 years of industrial experience

Successful candidates will
  • Demonstrate knowledge of NEC & OESC, equipment specification, controls interface, and project management assignments
  • Be experienced with heavy industrial equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Be familiar with Delta V DCS & Allen Bradley PLC, TCP/IP database design, MS Office and AutoCAD
