    We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to serve as the single point of contact for a critical network support contract at the Missoula Discovery Network. This role blends project management, financial oversight, and high\-level (Tier 3) network engineering. You will be physically located on\-site at the and must be available to provide support at the University of Missoula Forestry Sciences Lab, including emergency after\-hours support.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

    • Contract & Program Management:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Serve as the technical point of contact for the contract and supervise other personnel.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strategic Planning:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Provide technical advice to leadership to develop and execute the overall technology strategy and roadmaps.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Financial Oversight:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Provide design and cost estimates for proposed environment changes and assist in preparing technology acquisition packages.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Compliance & Security:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Assist the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in maintaining the ATO Package and resolving Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM).<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Tier\-3 Network Engineering:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Maintain ongoing design and configuration documentation for the network environment.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

    • Surge Support:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Provide critical support for the Discovery Network that the day\-to\-day on\-site contractor is unable to perform.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

      • Extensive experience in IT project management and advanced network engineering.<\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Ability to make authoritative decisions and proactively alert the Government to potential contractual issues.<\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Cisco Certified Field Technician (Highly Preferred).<\/b><\/span><\/span>
        <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • CompTIA Security+ (Highly Preferred).<\/b><\/span><\/span>
        <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • CompTIA Network+ (Highly Preferred).<\/b><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a USDA LincPass (HSPD\-12 PIV card).<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
